‘The pastry shop’ was conceived as part of a group exhibition held in a bookshop in Milan during “Letti di notte”, a city event which took place in 2014. To illustrate overnight jobs, I thought of a pastry shop open in the night. In the background, a silent city, asleep and suspended... I tried to incorporate all the love I feel for the city of Milan into the representation of a bunch of well-known buildings.
